Biography
Scott Thaxton, Senior Director of Procurement for Centralized Supply Chain Services, LLC, leads the department responsible for Direct Spend, including Proteins, Oils, Dressings, and Dairy.
Mr. Thaxton began his career in the foodservice industry holding various culinary positions at several independent fine dining restaurants in the Midwest. He joined Potbelly Sandwich Works in 2003 as an operator before transitioning to distribution and procurement roles for the growing fast-casual chain.
He joined Jack in the Box Inc. in 2009 and was promoted to roles of increasing responsibility over the course his tenure there including Manager of Distribution Services and Director of Procurement. In the latter role, Mr. Thaxton had responsibility for purchasing proteins, dairy, beverages, produce, bakery, and disposables for both the Jack in the Box and Qdoba Mexican Eats brands.
Mr. Thaxton received a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and attended the University of California San Diego where he received a Certification in Supply Chain Management.
